IPLS Event: Marijuana and IP Law

On Wednesday, November 9, 2016, Chicago-Kent’s Intellectual Property Law Society (IPLS) will be hosting a panel event directed to Marijuana and IP Law. Specifically, this panel will discuss the legal and ethical issues that may arise when trying to obtain a federal trademark and/or patent on marijuana/cannabis-related goods.

The panel will consist of the following speakers:

  1. Randy Micheletti, Associate at Perkins Coie LLP (Moderator);
  2. Sean Grygiel, Partner at Perkins Coie LLP;
  3. Alison Malsbury, Attorney at Harris Moure;
  4. Dina Rollman, Partner at Rollman & Dahlin LLP;
  5. Bryna Dahlin, Partner at Rollman & Dahlin LLP;
  6. Dr. Teddy Scott, CEO of PharmaCann LLC; and
  7. Charles Bachtell, CEO of CRESCOlabs LLC.

Registration will be from 5:30pm-6:00pm, the panel will take place from 6:00pm-8:30pm, and there will be a reception afterwards until 9:30pm. Food and beverages will be served at the reception. The event will take place in the Chicago-Kent Auditorium.

The cost of attendance is $25 for attorneys, $10 for students/non-attorneys, and free for IPLS paid members.

The event has been approved for 2.25 hours of Illinois General MCLE credit and 2.0 hours of Pennsylvania General MCLE credit.
