Dilley Statement:

My name is Tatiana Alonso, a proud daughter of Mexican immigrants. My interest in immigration is very personal, I grew up in a mixed-status household. In addition to gaining experience in a field I plan to one day pursue, the most important reason behind this trip for me is to assist the women and children at the detention center.

When I was able to petition for my own mother, those that assisted us provided a sense of peace and helped us understand the process. Now it is my turn to help those in need and hope that they will eventually feel the same joy I felt when my mother adjusted.
