Law, Business, and the State of the Music Industry

September 25, 2013

The Chicago-Kent Sports and Entertainment Law Society is excited to host its first panel event of the year: “Law, Business, and the State of the Music Industry.”  The panel will tackle issues regarding the current environment of the music industry, both through a legal and business perspective.  Peter Strand is a partner at the entertainment, media and intellectual property law firm Leavens, Strand, Glover & Adler, LLC.  He is also an adjunct professor at Chicago-Kent.  Andrew Morgan is an agent at the Billions Corporation.  Billions is a booking company that arranges and organizes tours for over 200 artists, including: Mumford & Sons, Vampire Weekend and the Arcade Fire.  Jeffrey David is a manager of business development for the licensing company Music Dealers.  Music Dealers connects artists to agency and brand clients in an effort to help them both achieve their goals when it comes to music.  We hope you can join us for what is going to be a very insightful and broad ranging discussion about the state of the music industry.

Food and Drinks will be provided!
