The Second Amendment protects the individual’s right to own and carry a gun. Join us for the fourth in a series of National Constitution Center debates with the American Constitution Society and the Federalist Society. Participants will debate whether or not the Supreme Court got it right when it ruled that the Second Amendment protects an individual’s right to own a handgun. Professor Michael O’Shea will argue in favor of the resolution against Professor Carl T. Bogus, who will argue against the resolution.
A cocktail reception, beginning at 6:00 p.m., will precede the debate. The substantive program will begin at 6:30 p.m. Attendance is free of charge; however, we ask that you please RSVP.
1.0 hours of Illinois CLE credit is available.
