AABA and the Chinese American Service League are seeking law student volunteers to help provide free legal services to low income Asian immigrants. The Clinic offers counseling and legal assistance on matters such as family law, immigration, personal finance, housing, public benefit and consumer law. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain legal experience while helping those in need!
The Chinatown Pro Bono Legal Clinic is held every second Saturday of each month and this month, it is on February 15 from 10AM to 1PM. The ability to speak Mandarin or Cantonese Chinese is particularly helpful as you will be assisting communication between the non-English speaking clients and the non-Chinese speaking attorneys.
If you are interested in volunteering, please email Vilan Odekar at firstname.lastname@example.org.
