EVENT: Speed Networking with Federal, State, and Local Government Attorneys

Come speak with Federal, State, and Local Government alumni about their careers. Students (either one-on-one or in small groups) will rotate to a new attorney every few minutes, and have the opportunity to meet all the attorneys in the room. The evening will conclude with a reception providing an opportunity for you to speak further with federal, state and local government alumni.

Details for this event: Dress is professional. You must arrive during the registration time, 5:00 – 5:30pm. You may bring a business card, please do not pass out your resume. Be prepared to rotate to every attorney, you may not skip around; if you have to leave early alert the organizer so accommodations can be made.

Join us for lunch as we discuss plans for the upcoming year and continue to build ties with the federal judiciary and agencies here in Chicago. If you’re a Chicago-Kent student at all interested in federal litigation or any area of federal law (immigration, IP, labor/employment, etc.) then we’re a group for you!

Chipotle will donate 50% of the proceeds to FBA Chicago-Kent!

What do technological growth, increased tourism, and a rising gross regional production in the third largest metropolitan economy in the U.S. have in common? They are all issues Chief Judge Ruben Castillo of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and Corporation Counsel Stephen Patton of the City of Chicago addressed Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at the “State of the Court, State of the City” presentation. The brand new Federal Bar Association Chicago-Kent College Student Division and the FBA Chicago Chapter hosted the event at Chicago-Kent College of Law. Our First Event

Next Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at 4:30 PM, the brand new Federal Bar Association Chicago-Kent Law Student Division will host “State of the Court and State of the City” featuring the Honorable Ruben Castillo, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois; and Stephen Patton, Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago. Each of these distinguished guests of will deliver a speech in the Governor Richard B. Ogilvie Auditorium at Chicago-Kent College of Law, with a reception to follow. The event is free and open to the public, but you must register in advance.
