Humberto is a first-generation college/law student from the southwest side of Chicago. Coming from parents who recently immigrated to the U.S. in the late 1980’s, Humberto understands the hardship that first-generation people face in any situation. Humberto finds mentorship and pipeline programs very important for the success of first-gen people, which is why he joined the Chicago-Kent First-Generation Law Student Association.
Humberto graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Political Science, and is a proud Gates Millennium Scholar. In his free time, Humberto enjoys drinking coffee with his friends, mentoring, taking walks at the park, and exercising.
