Biography:

Jenelle has been involved with KJF since her first year at Chicago-Kent. Previously, Jenelle was a co-chair of the Fall 2014 annual wine event. Prior to attending law school, Jenelle worked professionally for seven years, and also earned a Masters of Social Work. Jenelle worked as a community organizer addressing predatory lending issues, and also as a paralegal for the Housing Practice Group of the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland. Jenelle came to law school with the intention of focusing on public interest law.

Since attending Kent, Jenelle has held legal intern and externship positions with the Legal Assistance Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago, the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development, and Cabrini Green Legal Aid. Jenelle has also volunteered extensively with the the Self-Help Web Desk at the Cook County Circuit Court, Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, and the Center for Elder and Disability Law.

After graduation, Jenelle hopes to be employed in a public interest position as an advocate addressing affordable housing issues. Jenelle likes shopping for vintage outfits and has a rescue cat named Clementine.
