Volunteer with My Block, My Hood, My City

Chicago Kent’s BLSA and Lambdas are going to volunteer with My Block, My Hood, My City on Sunday, December 1st.

Join us on Sunday, December 1st for their first holiday lighting event of 2019! We’ll also be having our first ever Tree Lighting Ceremony and M3 Toy Drive, where we’ll be lighting a 20 foot holiday tree, enjoying hot beverages and treats, and a performance by Tasha.

Help us bring hope and cheer to our communities. Enjoy hot cocoa, coffee, food and drink donations from local businesses, holiday music and lots of positive energy. We’ll be helping families along King Drive hanging lights from 67th to 87th!

Diversity Holiday Fest

Bostock v. Clayton County: Does Title VII Protect LGBTQ Workers?

In the Chicago-Kent Auditorium on Tuesday, October 8, the Lambdas is joining the Chicago-Kent Diversity Committee in hosting a panel discussion around the oral arguments in an upcoming consolidated set of cases before the Supreme Court. These three cases (Bostock v. Clayton CountyAltitude Express v. Zarda, and R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Homes v. EEOC) will be consolidated for one hour of oral argument on the issue: Does the federal ban on employment discrimination “because of sex” apply to discrimination based on sexual orientation?
