Sen. Raoul is not only one of the most instrumental leaders in the Illinois General Assembly, but he has also demonstrated himself to be one of the most altruistic as well. He not only has been very gracious in speaking at various BLSA engagements, including our MWBLSA regional convention in 2013, but he has also remained engaged by participating in BLSA’s State of Black Chicago documentary. He has proven to be such a respected role model for us law students and I could not appreciate him more for all he has done for the minority students!
