James Berg is a First-Generation Law student from the Northwest Chicago Suburbs. James received his bachelor’s in Political Science, cum laude, from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a minor in Communications.
James was previously an operation and marketing intern for the International Law Institute in Washington, D.C. The “ILI” hosted many educational seminars regarding international development for lawyers from around the world to attend.
James spent the summer after his first year of law school and during his 2L year as a law clerk at Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer P.A. During his time at QPWB, James drafted numerous motions, research memos regarding various employment law matters, and legal advice that went directly to clients.
This past summer, James was a Summer Associate at Lavelle Law, where he worked in numerous areas of law such as tax, business, dealership, securities, litigation, and mergers and acquisitions. James will work for Lavelle Law after graduation as an associate in their litigation department.
In his free time, James enjoys running, working out, spending time with friends and family, trying new restaurants, and exploring the fantastic city of Chicago.
