Hello! My name is Gabriela Padilla-Abarca and I am the Vice President of the Immigration Law Society. I’m currently a 2L at Chicago-Kent College of Law.
I am a first generation college graduate and law school student. My parents immigrated from Mexico and I have witnessed first-hand the struggles, very often, encountered by the daunting immigration process. I came to law school in efforts to create positive, and needed, change for my community. I am passionate about equal access to legal representation and human rights advocacy.
I hope to practice immigration law in some capacity throughout my legal career. I am excited for what the Immigration Law Society has in store this year and being a part of making it happen!
