Ben Mahon has a B.S. in Human Biology from Cornell University and a teaching certificate from Northwestern University. Prior to Chicago-Kent, Ben spent six years teaching high school biology in the Chicago Public School system where he also helped coach the first CPS team to win a state championship in cross country since 1963.
Ben is interested in intellectual property law, especially related to genetics, as well as school law and policy. Next fall he will join McAndrews, Held and Malloy where he has clerked the past two summers.
Ben is an avid runner, sports fan and science nerd. In his free time, he likes to travel with his wife Jessica, explore Chicago’s neighborhoods, and discover new restaurants.
