Yuliya Patlata received a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, in 2014. In 2018, Yuliya competed in the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition where she received the Second Best Oral Advocate and Third Best Brief awards.
Last year, in addition to Moot Court, Yuliya was a Civil Procedure
Teaching Assistant. This year, she is a Legal Writing Teaching Assistant.
Yuliya was born in Vinnytsia, Ukraine and speaks elementary level Ukrainian and fluent Russian. Her hometown in the United States is Glen Ellyn, Illinois. In her spare time, Yuliya enjoys thrift store hunting, refurbishing antique furniture, hiking, kayaking, and camping.
