Student Animal Legal Defense Fund (SALDF) chapters are law student groups that are affiliated with the Animal Legal Defense Fund and share its mission to protect the lives and advance the interests of animals through the legal system. Our goals include educating the Chicago-Kent community about animal law issues, demonstrating the increasing viability of law as a means of improving the lives and status of animals, fundraising for local animal care organizations, and affecting change through legal and legislative activism.
Take a look at some of our chapter’s recent events, ranging from panel discussions to documentary screenings. The CK SALDF chapter is also proud to have sponsored student attendance at the Animal Law Conference for multiple years. And while you’re looking around, be sure to check out our expansive Resources page for anyone interested in animal law and animal issues.
