Cannabis Law Lunch & Learn:
Special Guest Attorneys – Bryna Dahlin and Dina Rollman
Tuesday, October 29 at 12 PM
Room 580
Since forming one of Chicago’s first cannabis law practices in 2015, these pioneers have worked alongside legislators, cannabis industry leaders, and investors to advance the cannabis space nationwide. They share a wealth of legal and operational insight rarely available to students.
About Bryna Dahlin: Partner at Benesch Law, Bryna’s clients range from growers, distributors, product manufacturers and ancillary businesses to traditional companies who work with and are impacted by cannabis laws. Bryna advises on issues of regulatory compliance; risk avoidance; company formation; contracts and licensing; corporate transactions; advertising and product packaging; and brand strategy and intellectual property protection. She performs legal due diligence for investors in the cannabis space and guides hemp, health and beauty brand clients in navigating CBD and FDA laws. Bryna is also a skilled trial lawyer who has represented clients in an array of high-profile, “bet the company” cases in both trial and appellate court.
About Dina Rollman: Senior Vice President of Regulatory & Government Affairs at Green Thumb Industries (GTI), Dina has advised the market leader since its inception. Under her guidance, GTI now holds 95 cannabis business licenses in 11 states—and growing. Dina monitors and ensures state/federal compliance in all aspects of cultivation and dispensary operations; is acting liaison to government representatives on a wide variety of issues including, but not limited to, land use/zoning and regulatory procedures; and she leads GTI’s first-of-its-kind social equity initiative (LEAP) assisting Illinois social equity candidates through the license application process. Dina is founder and President of Illinois Women in Cannabis (honored by Chicago Reader this weekend for their work lobbying for change in Illinois). She has also been named one of Chicago-Sun Times 10 Most Influential People in Illinois Cannabis for 2018 and a 2019 Woman of Influence by Chicago Business Journal.
