Fall 2021 Clothing & Toy Drive

This donation drive will benefit The Women’s Treatment Center (TWTC) in Chicago. TWTC served as the sole substance abuse treatment center in Illinois focused solely on women and specializing in treatment framed and informed by women’s issues.

However, the pandemic forced TWTC to shutter its physical space, and many women were displaced. While TWTC has found new arrangements for many of the women and children it serves, these women and their children remain in need of clothing in general—and toys (!) for this upcoming holiday season. SASC is a nonprofit organizations made up entirely of volunteers dedicated to serving the community through organized volunteer programs and social events. Their objective is to fulfill the volunteer needs of charities while promoting an environment for like-minded singles in their twenties and thirties to meet, interact, and develop lasting friendships and relationships. This is free to join and no commitment to a certain number of projects is necessary. Some of the past service events have included volunteering for the Greater Chicago Food Depository, Starlight Children’s Foundation, Cathedral Shelter of Chicago, and a PACT.
