We are thrilled to introduce Zariya Jeffers, who serves as our Treasurer for the 2022-2023 academic year! Zariya is 2L at Chicago-Kent! She was born and raised in Harlem, New York. Zariya attended Clark Atlanta University, where she earned a B.A. in Political Science. She is interested in non-patent intellectual property, which specifically attracted her to Chicago-Kent, where we have a nationally ranked intellectual property program. Zariya wants to specifically focus on trademarks, copyrights, trade dress, and fashion & retail.

This past summer she is interned at Ainsworth & Associates PC, a small law firm in Chicago.

“I once wanted to be a fashion designer, so I majored in fashion design in high school for four years. High school is where I got introduced to intellectual property and eventually decided that I wanted to attend law school. Although I do not want to be a fashion designer anymore, I still enjoy drawing, sewing and anything fashion related!”
