A lifelong Chicago resident, Katie grew up in Beverly and attended Northwestern University, graduating with a B.S. in Social Policy and International Studies. Katie spent a year traveling and volunteering at Northwestern University’s Center on Forced Migration before coming to law school. The summer after her 1L year, Katie was an extern for Judge Ann Claire Williams of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. As a 2L, Katie participated in the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, worked as a research assistant for Professor Bartram Brown, and completed an externship with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois. Currently, Katie continues to work for Professor Brown and is the Executive Editor of the Seventh Circuit Review. In her free time, Katie enjoys travelling, playing piano, and exploring Chicago neighborhoods.
