Since starting at Chicago-Kent, I worked in the Career Services Office, working with legal employers and promoting office events on social media. Currently, I work for a small immigration firm where I continue to use that networking and social media experience to promote the firm and engage community activists.
In March 2017, I had the opportunity to coordinate an immigrant solidarity march of 150+ people, and I was able to help bring in speakers from senior counsel from ACLU Illinois to Senator Dick Durbin.
As a more personal anecdote, I started an LGBTQ+ student group at my conservative suburban high school. It still runs under the name True Colors today, and I am proud to say that my sister had a safer, more inclusive education experience for it.
