For those of you who missed the Fall General Meeting…

Each year, we send upperclassmen to the Animal Law Conference at Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon. It’s a valuable educational and networking opportunity for those who are interested in pursuing animal law. During the fall semester, some of our fundraisers are to subsidize the cost of travel and attendance for those students who go to the Conference. It will be made clear which fundraisers are hosted to support those students’ attendance.

  • National Speak Out for Farmed Animals Week

    • 10/5 – Bake Sale & Leafleting | 9-5 | 3rd Floor

    • 10/7 – HEART Training | 6-8 pm | Room C20 | Vegan food served!

      • This session will cover information about the HEART (Humane Education Advocates Reaching Teachers)  program and will teach law students alternative ways to work towards greater animal protections. The lesson will focus on farmed animals, to tie in with National Speak Out for Farmed Animals Week. This is really an awesome opportunity to learn how to be a better advocate for animals and I encourage everyone to sign up and take advantage of this training!

  • 10/28 Animal Legal Defense Fund Virtual Town Hall Meeting | 6-7 pm |C20 | Vegan food served!

    • Join ALDF’s Executive Director Stephen Wells to learn more about ALDF’s cases, campaigns, resources, and ways your chapter can get involved to protect the lives and advance the interest of animals through the legal system. Free appetizers and lemonade from Native Foods!

  • 10/29 Halloween Pet Photo Contest Fundraiser | 9-5 | Front Lobby

    • Submissions due by 10/22

    • Winner receives a $20 gift card to a pet supply store! Remainder of proceeds are donated to a local animal rescue organization
