Uvaldo Herrera National Moot Court Competition
HLLSA is looking for 2L and 3L students interested in participating in the Hispanic National Bar Association’s 25th Annual Uvaldo Herrera National Moot Court Competition.
HLLSA has a budget to send one team of three Chicago-Kent students. If you are interested please submit (in PDF format) a 5 page writing sample (preferably something showing legal analysis), a resume, and a brief statement on why you are interested in competing in a moot court competition, which includes whether you are able to work on the brief over winter break.

The timeline for the selection process is as follows:
Deadline to submit application materials: December 4th at 11:59pm
Selected applicants will be notified by December 9th.
The competition is March 19-21st in Phoenix, AZ. Selected participants are required to stay the entirety of the competition.

Once you have secured an externship, you will need to submit an application to the C-K Legal Externship Program, which are due on or before January 6, 2020.

BLSA is hosting its second annual donation drive for the Cook County Juvenile Detention Center!
Below is a list of acceptable items. Please place donations in the black and yellow bin near the security desk on the 1st floor.
In addition, we will also be accepting winter items (new or gently used coats, scarves, hats, and gloves) to be distributed to local shelters.
