At the information session, Chicago-Kent students who have participated in the JIOP judicial internship program and the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) diversity program will discuss their experiences applying to and interviewing for these programs, and working with a judge or corporation over the summer.

The mission of the Judicial Intern Opportunity Program (JIOP) is to provide the opportunity to work with a judge to 1L and 2L students who are members of racial and ethnic groups that are traditionally underrepresented in the legal profession and opportunities to students with disabilities, students who are economically disadvantaged, women, and students who identify themselves as LGBT. The ACC Chicago-Diversity Summer Internship Program places 1L law students with diverse backgrounds from Illinois law schools in internships with corporate legal departments. More information here, deadline to apply is January 8th.
