Grade anxiety is real and looming. This Zoom conversation with faculty, career services, and students to discusses grades, what they may mean for future employment, and how students can continue to improve and succeed.
Professor Adrian provides a perspective as a teacher of 1L core courses, Dawn Young provides academic resources, and Vicki Ryan of Career Services discusses job options and prospects. We also have upper-level students provide perspectives on their own experiences.
BLSA, in partnership with APALSA, First-Gen, HLLSA, MLSA, and Women in Law, welcomes Pepperdine Professor Peter T. Wendel to lead a workshop focused on tips, study strategies, and note-taking methods catered towards first-year law students.

A panel of successful female attorneys in a broad spectrum of fields will focus on career exploration as well as strategies for building firs-gen and female success.
Statistics show that individuals with higher emotional intelligence are happier at work and in their personal lives, experience better success in collaborative settings, and have higher self-regulation, empathy, self-awareness, motivation, and social skills.
This 2021 Diversity Week panel discussion with keynote Justice Jesse G. Reyes will address the unique position of first-generation law students and professionals.
Justice Reyes will speak regarding support systems and opportunities for diverse law students and about the importance of first-generation visibility in the profession. (more…)

At the information session, Chicago-Kent students who have participated in the JIOP judicial internship program and the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) diversity program will discuss their experiences applying to and interviewing for these programs, and working with a judge or corporation over the summer.
