The Chicago-Kent Journal of Intellectual Property welcomes academic and professional author submissions on topics in all areas of intellectual property law including patents, copyrights, and trademarks. We publish each article about two months after the article’s author accepts our publication offer.
We prefer to publish articles that are 12,000-18,000 words in length (excluding citations), but in extraordinary circumstances, will accept articles outside of this range. Generally, we value brevity.
Please note that CKJIP conforms to the Chicago Manual of Style (16th ed. 2010). Citations are in footnotes, rather than endnotes, and conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (20th ed. 2015).
We accept submissions through ExpressO, Scholastica, e-mails sent to firstname.lastname@example.org (attach as a Word document), and the submission form below. All submissions or inquiries regarding the submission of an article should be sent to the attention of the Managing Editor. Please include a resume or curriculum vitae with your submission.
