Brian is pursuing a concentration in environmental and energy law. He earned his bachelor’s degree in English Literature at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Brian continued at UIUC as a Civil Leadership Fellow, earning a master’s degree in Political Science. Between degrees, Brian interned at the Editorial Board of the Chicago Tribune, interviewing political candidates and writing editorials for the page.

After graduate school, Brian Dodds worked as a paralegal in Chicago firms focusing on utility regulation and environmental law. During the summer after 1L year, Brian worked as an intern at the Illinois Pollution Control Board. He is currently a legal intern with the litigation team at the Natural Resources Defense Council in Chicago. In addition to serving on JEEL, Brian is active in Chicago-Kent’s Law Review and Moot Court Honor Society.
